Vine Viewer crashed after I entered my login name and password for an ssh connection, and now crashes immediately every time I launch it.
Are there preferences somewhere I can delete so I can start fresh?

Yes, the are stored in ~/Library/Preferences/
(on 10.7+ that folder is hidden by default, use the Go To Folder… feature).
The file is com.redstonesoftware.Vine.plist
