SSH, OSX, and Windows

Here’s what I’d like to do, my setup so far, and how I got here…

1 G5 iMac running OS X 10.4.10 and a fresh install of Vine Server 2.1
1 windows laptop with XP using TightVNC viewer
1 Linksys wrt54g wireless router with a 5mbps internet connection.

internally I can connect to the iMac using the XP laptop with supplying the password I setup
under Vine Server. Vine Server is set to port 5900

What I would like to do is remotely connect to the iMac using SSH through my router with the laptop.

I’ve assigned the iMac a static 192.168.x.x address and forwarded port 22 on the router to that
IP. I can connect to the iMac with SSH from XP using PuTTY from the outside world…thanks to the help
of a 5meg pipe

Under Sharing in the System Preferences I’ve checked Apple Remote Desktop as well as Remote Login.

once connected through SSH I go to launch TightVNC viewer and put in the 192.168.x.x IP but
I can’t seem to connect to it. Under Vine server I’ve got the following options set on the
sharing tab.

what other settings should I check?

Thanks in advance.
