Problem with Vine 4.01 System Server Password

I have just installed the Vine Server on some of our Macs and have discovered, that on some of the machines, when I want to activate the Vine System Server, the VNC Password for authentication in that new window is in plain text.

As far as I can tell, this mainly occures with OSX 10.6, witch OSX 10.7 I don’t have this problem. I am using the Vine Server 4.01

Sorry if there is allready a toppic for this, but I looked through the forum now for over an hour and couldn’t find anything.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a general problem?

This is a known issue on 10.6, it has been fixed in the latest source code but there is no scheduled release date for the fix.

The source is available on www.sourceforge.net as project OSXvnc.
