When I am starting the vine server (ver 3.0) i see the following error in the log :
“OSXvnc-server[262:10b] screen format not supported.”
Any help will be much appreciated
This usually happens when starting the server from an “unprivileged” login. For Mac OS X only logins done at the console (or via Fast-User-Switching) or the ROOT user has the privilege to access the screen buffer. Unlike X-Windows that will create a desktop session for you, the mac only serves an existing screen session.
The other (less likely) possibility is that you don’t have a video display running (even a virtual one) and so the computer doesn’t have a screen size to display.
