Next Available SUT

I am wondering if there’s a way for my system to figure out the next available SUT it should connect to when one SUT is already engaged. I have multiple execution licenses. I wanted to do parallel execution of my tests but I do not want to explicitly say which SUT they should run on. My tests are independent so that they can run on any SUT at any given time. Thanks!

For this, you might use the AllConnectionInfo() function to get information about which SUTs are currently available, and then the Connect command to connect to a currently available SUT. There is also the ConnectionInfo() function for if you want to get information about a specific SUT’s availability.
You can read about theses commands and functions here: http://docs.testplant.com/?q=content/sut-commands-and-functions

Keep in mind that this information does not reflect whether or not another test is currently executing against a system, or if that system is being used by another member of your team (assuming it’s a physical machine). This kind of management is what eggCloud is designed for. You can read more about eggCloud here: http://www.testplant.com/eggplant/testing-tools/eggcloud/
You can see our eggCloud documentation here: http://docs.testplant.com/?q=eggCloud

Also, if you are doing parallel execution of tests, you might consider using eggPlant Manager, which allows the scheduling of tests so that they kick off simultaneously. You can read about eggPlant Manager here:http://www.testplant.com/eggplant/testing-tools/eggplant-manager/

Thank you very much!
