Whenever I launch or relaunch eggOn on either Android or iPad it seems like, more often than not, after starting eggOn, I have to edit the connection in the connection list of eggplant functional because the ip address for VNC viewer has changed, before I can get a successful connection.
Is this normal, and/or is there a solution or workaround?
I think you must mean the IP address of the server. Your device is probably getting its IP via DHCP and your wifi network may have very short lease times. You could ask for a reserved IP for the device, otherwise you will probably just have to deal with the IP changing frequently. This is not something that the VNC server can control; it’s just reporting the IP value that it gets from the system.
