We currently have an Eggplant license installed on a Linux VM. I have since cloned that VM and used a new hostname for the clone. The old VM has been retired.
How do I go about getting a license for the newly cloned VM? Will this use our one time free copy license?

You’re actually allowed two license transfers in a 12-month period. This would use one of them, but that’s the sort of thing that they are there for. Should you use both of them and need to transfer a third time for some reason, you can write to support to explain the situation and an additional transfer can be provided.
Note that the licensing is not tied to a hostname, but to a host ID aka a MAC address.
Thank you very much for the clarification. I was able to change the MAC address to that of the original VM and eggplant started without a problem.
