We have a number of customers whose specific test cases involve using Eggplant Functional with Epic Hyperdrive. We have received anecdotal reports of Eggplant’s OCR Engine behaving differently between local install of Hyperdrive vs. Citrix or Horizon instances of Hyperdrive. If there are any customers who have seen this behavior, we are very interested in specific examples so that we might find common solutions.
Thanks!
Dave
Outside of this thread, has any feedback come through related to experience with OCR behavior while testing against local Epic Hyperdrive vs Citrix? At some point local installs may be an available option and it would be nice to see some examples of what exactly has been seen thus far. Thanks!

I will admit upfront that we gave Epic’s local install a test run and Eggplant Functional testing in that environment was not the directive. Rather, we were testing our usual manual script execution against it. I did take the opportunity to run some Eggplant Functional scripts against it and the majority of the issues were related to images not found. We only had a brief period of time to test so I did not troubleshoot, but I honestly expected re-dos on image capture anyway. If we wind up using the local installs, I’d love to know in what other ways I should be prepared to adjust!
