I perform remote service of client’s computers. Many of my clients have no static address. It would be advantageous for me to have Vine Viewer allow me to specify “connection list” entries with blank “Server (IP address or hostname)” fields, and interpret this to mean that it should ask me for the address in real-time whenever I attempt to connect. That way I can use Vine Viewer to maintain my list of clients’ names and passwords, while indicating that I need to make sure I use their current temporary IP address.
Happily, this enhancement would not affect current operation. Vine Viewer currently accepts a blank field in the connection list, it just gives an error when one actually attempts to connect to it. Replacing this error with a dialog box shouldn’t be too difficult.
