I am running the latest Vine Server on a 10.3.9 Mac OS X server and Vine Client on a 10.4.8 Intel Mac.
Whenever I copy something to the clipboard from the client machine the client screen becomes active, the Vine dock icon bounces and I lose focus from whatever my current app was. This happens whether I am running Vine as a server or a desktop app, and regardless of the setting of the rich clipboard checkbox.
It is driving me crazy. What can I do to stop the notifications?
We believe we have identified this as being caused by a small bug in Vine Viewer on Intel machines, which will be fixed in the next release. In the meantime, you may be able to eliminate the problem by running Vine Viewer through Rosetta.
To do this, select the Vine Viewer application in the finder, bring up the Info panel (Get Info from the menu) and click the “Open using Rosetta” checkbox. You’ll want to turn this off again after you get the next version of Vine, since it slows things down somewhat, but hopefully it will help you retain your sanity in the meantime.
