Hi,

Can someone brief me the functionality for [Check Now] button inside “General Preferences” section on EggPlant?

What I understood, by tapping this button which will check for latest EggPlant version in backend, if there’s any then user will be identified with an available upgrade. If not, user will see an appropriate message regarding availability of the upgrade.

Am I correct?

Yes, that’s pretty much it.

The check involves an HTTP pull from the TestPlant website compared against the running version of eggPlant. If, for any reason, eggPlant can’t get to the website then the check will fail.
