auto run server with no icon in dock

if you’re familiar with applications running as a ‘service’ in windows-speak … that’s what i’m trying to achieve.

i want vine server to auto start each time i start up my mac, and keep running. however, i don’t want the icon to show in the dock.

is there a way to get vine server to run in ‘daemon’ or ‘service’ mode?
also, once it’s in this ‘hidden’ mode, how can i unhide it if i ever had to make a change? :wink:

If you launch the GUI and use the “System Server” that will achieve what you are looking for. You can then quit the GUI. Just run the GUI again to disable or modify the “System Server”.
