What does the error: "Unable to acquire VNC Lock" when setting up an RDP connection mean?

When setting up an RDP session I sometimes get the following error:

Runtime Error at line 74: Connection Failed - Unable to acquire VNC Lock for Server:PFWRK2-CDC_SUP on port:3389

Anyone have some knowledge about what its trying to convey? or how to avoid it?

with the limited amount of information its kind of impossible to help you. Kindly ask you to raise a support ticket for it. This will allow our support team to provide the help required. create support ticket

make sure to provide a bit more details like the ones below:

  • Are you using Eggplant Functional or DAI?
  • Which versions do you use?
  • Add the logfiles from %APPDATA$/Eggplant
  • Explain a bit more what you are doing. RDP connections can be established via DAI or via EPF.

In case you do have activated RDP beta that would explain that you do see a vnc message in an RDP connection but this is a shot in the blue.

We are using EPF 22.5.

I do not know what RDP beta is. what should i know about it?
