limit mac resources on multiple user sessions

i’m not familiar with OSx, so please excuse my ignorance if asking a stupid question.

I need to have several users use a mac server to use the apple developer’s kit, i have yet to find an affordable (legal) solution to virtualize mac os x.

I see that I can run multiple users on vine, but my question is, is there a way to limit resources to users, for example if I have 4GB of ram i wouldn’t like a single user session to use up all the memory, and leave the rest with no RAM or tons of swapping.

same goes for disk, could I have user files sepparated so user A couldn’t see users B files??

thanks in advance

You can’t do what you’re asking via Vine – it just provides access to the user accounts. Users files are separated by default, so that’s not a problem, but I don’t know of any way of capping a user’s memory usage. Even if such a thing exists, it’s outside the scope of our application.
