# Your Interests Are Our Interests!

Some of you may be aware that here at Eggplant we have had a series of bi-weekly discussions around interesting topics about SenseTalk. Sometimes we discuss lesser known functionality such as iterating over records pulled from an Excel datasheet:

`repeat with each item ` **`myCurrentRecord`** `of (the records of` **`myConnectionString`** `) by reference`

Sometimes it is key functionality such as working with chunks with which people are less familiar:

`put “The great grey green gooey goblin” into monster`  
`put “ugly” into words 2 to 5 of monster`  
`put monster → “The ugly goblin”`

or

`set ` **`text`** ` to "[a]hello[b]bonjour[c]hola[d]"`  
`set ` **`marker`** ` to <"[", character, "]">`  
`put occurrences 2 to 3 of ` **`marker`** `in` **`text`** ` --> ([b],[c])`  
`put "$$$" into occurrences 2 to 3 of marker in ` **`text`**  
`put ` **`text`** ` --> [a]hello$$$hola[d]`

What lesser known features of the following might interest our users:

- API calls?
- SQL Queries?
- Migrating to Eggplant Studio?
- Using Virtual Assistant and other AI Tools?

Also, a quick pitch for the Lunch and Learns that are coming up. You may be surprised to see elegant solutions to problems that you have “brute forced” in the past.
