I’m running Vine Server 3.0 (1016) on my cube under OS X 10.4.11
At the office I’m running Vine Viewer 3.0 (1030) on OS X 10.5.7
I constantly keep losing my vnc connection to my cube when at the office. I haven’t been able to determine why. I know its not my home connection having problems because I have it connected to a work vpn 24/7 logged into an irc channel and I never get dropped, so thats not the problem. I set it to use SSH hoping that might help, but it did not.
At the office with Vine Viewer, it randomly disconnects from the server. Sometimes I can reconnect right away, mostly I can not and I have to ssh into my home box, kill the server and relaunch it to reconnect.
I have the Vine Server set to require a password, use SSH and allow multiple VNC connections (thought that last one would help getting reconnected, but no such luck).
Vine Viewer is just suddenly not getting updated info from the server, and it never starts again. The window doesn’t close, I don’t get a “disconnected” message, there is nothing in the console or system logs for the server or viewer that indicate anything at all is going on or happened to the vnc connection, other than this (don’t believe this is related to the issue however, since I had this same problem before I set it to require SSH):
Ever since I turned on the SSH, on my laptop the Vine Viewer client constantly has these msgs showing up in my console log (one each every minute):

The Vine Server log file does say that the client disconnected, but doesnt’ give me any indication of why.
And the server log is pasting this into its logfile every 30 seconds right now (I got disconnected earlier today and relogged in, I am as I write this logged in.)
