Server does not automatically start

Hi,
We have the vine server on a mac running os x and in the user login it is set to start up when the user logs in and hide in the dock. The app itself is set to start when launched or crashes however, it starts but the service does not start. We have to manually click start. The pref’s have been set with the login name and password and the vnc password. All suggests it should work seamlessly, but doesn’t.
