Memory Leak in Eggplant?

Hi folks,

I’ve been running 4.1 for a while and worry that it may have a memory leak of some kind, or it just uses a large amount of memory over time.

I have a simple script of about 10 lines, but it needs to run for about 5 days. After 5 days of running, Eggplant is using ~900mb of memory, and that’s especially painful since it’s running on a Mac Mini with only 1 gb of RAM and the paging causes everything to become sluggish.

Any suggestions for how to alleviate the issue? Would the Eggplant time like some logs or something?

Yes, we have recently identified and fixed a couple of memory leaks, so things will be better in the next version of Eggplant. If you can post your script (or email it to our support address) we may be able to suggest ways to tweak it to work around the problem in the meantime.

There was a known leak in the CaptureScreen command and also some memory improvements that have been fixed in the latest (4.12) release of Eggplant.
