I downloaded Vine 3.0 today and I’m experimenting with connecting from home on my iMac to my Linux workstation on my company’s network. I can make the connection OK, but only a portion of the desktop of my Linux workstation is visible. I can’t scroll enough to see all of it. Is it simply a matter of changing the resolution on the Linux box, or something else? Thanks.
Almost all VNC sessions will display the entire desktop (the only exception I am aware of is TightVNC which can be set to display only certain windows).
Something that might have happened is that you got a new desktop that was at a lower default resolution. This is something happening on the LINUX VNC server. You might need to specify a higher resolution or specifically request the console session (instead of a new desktop).
