Different Settings for Different Ports/Passwords

Hi all,

I’m trying to set up two VNC servers on one Mac – a read-only server on port 5900 with password “abcdefg” and a full-control system server on port 5901 with password “zyxwvut”

Unfortunately, the settings for the system server – ie, whether it’s read-only or not – seem to be inherited from the preferences for the regular server.

Is there an easy way to have different settings for each of the different servers?

There isn’t an easy way to do this but there is a sneaky way.[list][]Copy the Vine Server.app[]Edit the file Contents/Info.plist.[]Change the CFBundleIdentifier to something else (like VineServerReadOnly)[]Change the CFBundleName to match.[/list:u]Now you can launch this program and give it a separate set of preferences from your original Vine Server.
