How do I configure an OSX 10.4 laptop with Vine Server to allow remote access when the laptop lid is closed?
I can send a Wake On LAN string and then it responds long enough for me to remote in and enter the resume password, but then it just goes back to sleep.
Any tricks to this?
That’s a good question; I wish I knew definitively. With my older laptop I could only get it to stay awake when closed if I had an external video device connected to it. I do think that hardware plays a factor here.
Previously we know people have used an “active” video converter plug to fool the Mac into thinking an external monitor was present – something like that might work here as well.
