Computer with Vine Server no longer shows up

I’d been using the Vine software for a couple weeks just fine. I’m connecting with a computer up the road wirelessly thru a router. Then about 3 weeks ago the host computer stopped showing up on the network. It was about the same time as Apple updated OS 10.

Any ideas as to how I can get these two computers to recognize each other again?

There shouldn’t be any inherent reason why Vine Server can no longer be recognized.

You might need to check your firewall settings to make sure that your computer is still allowing connections.

I’d been messing around with all the settings in the Sharing Panel for days then happen to see that somebody had changed the connection method from ethernet to dial up. Switched it back and it started working again.
